If your back aches from sitting too much, the simple stretch in this video can help.
Do you find yourself glued to the couch at this time of the year, watching football or doing other indoor activities? That’s a lot of sitting on top of what you’re likely already doing at work all day.
Hours of sitting or standing can cause muscles in the lower back to tighten, resulting in lower back pain. And that’s nothing to cheer about.
The simple lower back stretch in this video can be done right from your seat, whether you’re at your desk or on the couch watching the big game. By performing the stretch a few times a day, you’ll increase your range of motion and will help ease the tightness in your lower back that causes pain.
It’s a good idea to also get into the habit of getting up and moving throughout the day to keep muscles from tightening up. Take a break every hour or so to walk around for a few minutes or stretch.
