Millions of Americans enjoy ice cream every day. If you’re one of them, you may be interested to find out that what’s in your ice cream is not all bad. Of course, there are often ingredients in ice cream that you will want to limit in your diet – like sugar, saturated fat and artificial ingredients. But there’s also usually some good stuff in there, too.
This video shows you what’s good – and not so good – about ice cream and how you can incorporate this sweet treat into a healthy eating plan. As you’ll see, when it comes to ice cream or any sweet treat, moderation is important. Stick to a recommended serving, which is just one-half cup (or one average scoop), on occasion and you can enjoy ice cream throughout the summer and all year long, unless your doctor has suggested that you avoid it completely.
